before i go shopping i look into the cabinets and fridge/freezer to see what i need and dont need.

so i did this. went shopping. came home to put the grocery’s away, low and behold theres empty boxes in the storage space.

come to find out my son’s eat the food then put the empty boxes back on the shelves and in the fridge.

bottom line i have to reshop to replace the food that i thought i already have.

sooooo annoying. i though geat one chore out of the way. but, nope.

do your family do stuff like this?

tell what. such as buying family pack’s of dove soap. but by the end of the week it’s gone coz the kid’s leave the soap in the tub for it to melt away. can i just say that soap (Dove) is EXPENSIVE! grrrrrrrr

tell me what annoying things your family do around the house that annoy the goodness out of you?

i totally understand where you are coming from! my kids leave their dirty clothes where ever it may land and they dont want to pick it up til its time for us to have company or go somewhere. they also like to eat something and if they have just even 1 bite of it left, they will put it in the fridge. instead of taking the 1 lil bite or throwing it away. its hard always having to chase behind 4 kids alone but somehow i manage.

Is this appropriate?

Author: admin

I’m moving into a 2 bedroom house. Here’s what it comes with:
Brand new kitchen cabinets and brand new cherry oak floors in the kitchen.
1 full bath.
Huge soundproof game room, including a pool table and full bar.
2 couches and a coffee table.
2 acres.
huge front deck.
garage used for storage.

Here’s what it doesn’t have:
Floorboards/baseboards.
Needs to be painted.
Needs kitchen sink, bathtub fixtures, and floors need to be cleaned, as well as couches.
holes in the wall of the closet need to be drywalled.
insulation needed.
A LOT of work needs to be done to the yard.

The list goes on and on.

Is 400 dollars a month, including rent and utilities, really appropriate? I mean, I’m spending money on paint and brushes and flooring and all kinds of stuff that I never thought would be necessary. I’m virtually doing all of the renovation alone…

What do you all think?

It depends on where you live. If it were in California I would say it is a great deal. If you lived in my state, I would say the deal isn’t bad but you might want to keep looking. Personally, I would never pay rent and fix up a property that someone else owns. With the way you described the property it would be illegal to rent in my city.

How many gallons of flammables or how many gallons of combustible liquids?

OSHA 1926.152 requires that a flammable storage cabinet hold no more than 60 gallons of flammable or 120 gallons of combustible liquids in any one cabinet.

Additionally, no more than 3 Storage Cabinets may be located in single fire storage.

Hope it answers your question.

Hi ,
I have a luxury property in MESA,AZ .It is a custom earth sheltered home and majority of it is underground. It is horse property .But the realtors are not very much interested in marketing it and getting it sold as it is a rare kind of house in AZ.
The details of the property are as follows:—
I have a custom home to be sold at 759 G which is appraised at 850 G. The home is a custom home, earth sheltered, made of steel and concrete , custom hardwood floor with granite tops in kitchen ,toilets , fountain showers in the toilets , all fans remote controlled, digital dimmers ,plasma TV and a lot of more , chisseled granite tops , custom sinks and a lot more …………You must see it in person to appreciate the features that it is having because it is very much difficult to cover all it’s features in a few lines…
The house also has horse rights and has 1.25 Acre land along with it, the land in the neighbourhood is worth 300-350 G an Acre .

Apart from these there are indonesian artwork in the house .the other details of the property are as follows..
This is an unique home .When it was built the Maricopa County Officials sent Choppers to get it pictured !!!!!!!!!

It is unique of it’s kind .It has plenty of amenities in it …It is constructed of steel and concrete and also has a 42" Plasma TV in it that is for free for the buyer.

Since the house is mostly under the earth it is extremely energy efficient. The details of the home are described as follows:

This home is a very unique property.

It is extremely energy efficient

It is an earth sheltered home

It is constructed of concrete and steel

It has recently been extensively remodeled and it is completely new from the floors on up

The lot is 1 acre plus

This property has horse rights and has no HOA

The home is 3100 square feet. It is a 4 BR/ 2.5 B with a loft. There is a 2 car garage.

There is also a 12′ * 12′ storage shed in the rear of the property. The front and back entrances are completely remodeled with granite.

kitchen—There are brand new stainless steel appliances throughout the kitchen. The kitchen also includes maple custom cabinets, as well as African Chesnut hardwood floors. The kitchen has granite counter tops, bar top and back splashes. The kitchen also includes a built-in pantry.

Bathrooms–The half bath on the main floor has a solid granite vanity and vessel sink. The 2ND bathroom has marble floors and travertine throughout. The shower features a soothing waterfall shower head.

The Asian-Zen master bathroom is truly amazing as it hosts an underground Indonesian rock waterfall in addition to a 320 gallon soaking tub. The Black Alor stone has been said to improve circulation. In addition there are slate floors, granite counter tops and granite vessel sinks with stainless steel faucets.

The den holds an amazing granite fireplace. In addition you will find a 42" plasma screen T.V.

42" PLASMA TV IS FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of other home improvement products are free
The property is landscape ready and comes with a $10,000.00 landscape allowance (with acceptable offer) which may be used towards the closing costs as well.

The one of a kind all-granite wrap around deck is a perfect place for entertaining or relaxing with the family.

It offers gorgeous mountain views and the perfect place to watch the sunset

INTERESTING FACTS:
This is truly a home ahead of its time. When it was being built in 1983 the local news channel sent helicopters to photograph and ran a story on it as it is was quite a head turner then and even more of one now due to the improvements and upgrades.

100% FINANCING IS AVAILABLE- the buyer will have an answer from the loan officer within 15 minutes and final paperwork is estimated to take no longer than 10-15 days.

Photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/kishaloy.bhowmick/Eaarthhome

Also the property is located in the mountainside areas where there are a lot of custom luxury properties and it is just 10 mins away from the lakes…

Now can you guys suggest me ways in order to market the property .My company is transferring me to CA and this propoerty which has been my dream home is becoming a pain in the neck.

Can you suggest me anyway of showing it on Realty TV or something so that i can get rid of this asap.
The address is 1123 N 104th St ,Mesa,AZ

There is a reason realtors are not interested much in this property. As much as YOU seem to love it, this is a strange property, and probably won’t bring at market what you think it will.

In our area, we have similar issues with earth homes, geodesic domes, or any other type of residence which varies substantially from ‘conventional’. These types of homes need special buyers who also like the same things you like. Do not expect a quick sale, and do not expect offers at anywhere near full price.

As much as I hate to tell you this, your idea of a ‘dream home’ is YOURS, and not necessarily everyone else’s dream. These are the chances you take when you elect to build a house which is ‘out of the ordinary’.

most plastic storage containers have bluoe lids. I like everything to match and can’t understand why blue is the color of choice by manufacturers. Very few people have blue kitchens. Why in the world wouldn’t they use clear containers and matching clear lids…not only would the containers match any decor and would look nice when opening cabinets to see all clear…but it would make more sense as well becuase once the containers are used and in the fridge, you could see whats in it through a clear lid. Why blue?

real tupperware (not gladware or ziploc or rubbermaid) comes in a variety of colors. we have 2 lines of microwaveable products that are black. we have bowls in orange and red and other colors (pink, green, and more). tupperware has maintained a shade of blue as an option for the line of modular mates for some years now, but there is always at least one alternative color to the blue (right now it’s red) and the shade of blue changes as consumer preferences change because, actually, blue is a very popular color for kitchens. however, we do have lots of other colors and very few things come only in blue.

I’m looking for a wooden storage cabinet that has 3-4 shelves. Stands about 4 feet (give or take) and is about 1 1/2-2 feet across. Its made for pretty much anything, but mainly childrens items like toys, games, arts and crafts. My friend has one but she can’t remember where she found it. Any help!!! Please!

I saw something like that (I don’t know about the dimensions) at Big Lots. I think they are all across the states. Hope this helps.

How much house can I afford to build? It will be outside city limits, already has electric and water running to the land. I’ll list what I need, then what I want in order of how bad I want it, anyone familiar with pricing, please tell me if it will be doable, or if I need to cut down? I’ll be getting a builder but I like to have a clue what I’m doing before I involve professionals who talk over my head.

I need at least 3 bed, 2 bath. Everything should be of a med-high to high quality. At least 1300 square feet though more would be better. I need a well designed, open-plan kitchen with alot of storage space, and can likely get reduced price on cabinets because my uncles make and sell them.

What I’d LIKE
What I would like:
4th+ bedroom
Wood flooring in living room and hall, tile in the kitchen and bath Wood flooring in beds would be better. I’m willing to get repo
At least one bay window, for a breakfast nook
I’d like to it to be two stories
An attic or garage, or both
A Fireplace, preferable wood burning
A fence around an acre
Cement driveway
Jet tub in the master bathroom
A sitting room or my living room set in such a way as to have at least two easily definable areas
A large pantry, and there or elsewhere having room for an extra freezer.
A small, minimalist room with large windows to use as for yoga etc
Victorian influenced style would be wonderful
Though this is probably the point where I have waaay more then crossed the line, a pool =P

Thanks in advance, I know its alot of info but I dont know where else to go for a general idea of this kind of thing
I live in arkansas, where i am told building is relativley cheap. To buy a house of the size I have in mind being built in a suburb would be a little less then my budget, they are well built, brick, single story, and come with a little land

First of all you do need to meet with a builder and give them this list of items that you want. They generally can run you a cost estimate for the pricing in your area. Construction loans to build normally finance 85% of your projected appraised value. Once you pick the design the builder will need to give you blue prints/specs that an appraiser will use to get a subject to completion value. If you already own the land most lenders will let that stand for your 15% down. Good luck.

WANTING TO GO FROM: “PACK RAT” TO “LESS IS MORE”
What is easier, faster, more practical, smarter and why?

I want to make sure my move is as smooth as a babies butt. To help me in moving, packing, organizing, storage, clutter, etc., I am looking for:

Suggestions
Ideas
Tips (packing, moving, cardboard vs. plastic)
Recommendations
Advice
Insight
Hindsight
Set up (utilities, unpacking, packing)
Organizing (papers in binders vs. file cabinets, color coding boxes vs. labeling boxes)
Lists

SOME CONCERNS I HAVE ARE:

How do I pack big bulky items (lamps, plants, etc.)?
What do I use to cover or keep items clean and dust free while moving and while in storage?
Filing important papers (binders vs. file cabinet, file by year, topic, etc.).
What papers should I keep forever?
What should I throw away? After how long? How long should I hold onto it?
Moving different rooms, items, etc.
How do I know when it’s time to let go?
What should I get rid of?
What should

planning planning planning… organization is key…

tips

liquor store boxes are fantastic for packing breakables such as wine glasses and the like - they fit in the the spaces where the bottles were.

empty paper towel rolls great for storing knives

people suggest newspaper for dishes… dont do it - then you have to clean the newsprint off everything… paper towels between plates or tea towels if you have tons

anything that dismantles (diningroom table) put all the nuts and bolts in a ziplock bag labelled clearly what the pieces belong with… I usually keep them in together in one larger bag

clearly label what is in every box… stuff is not an acceptable label LOL well except maybe for the bathroom

also I colour code all my boxes to the rooms i want them to go in at the new place… the dollar store sells colored tapes to assist. when i get to the new place I tape a piece of paper with that color to the door of every room so things are at least placed in the correct room. also suggest placing color cards at the foot of the stairs to save wasted trips.

have one box that moves with you not in the truck that includes, your nuts and bolts bag, paper towels, roll of toilet paper, hand soap, liquid soap, scissors, tape, tape measure, couple of screw drivers and a hammer (in case you have to pop off a door to get something in) wet wipes, snacks are also a good idea too.

also a cooler with water and other beverages.

separate cooler with fridge items if your bringing them… my fridge rule is if it is less than half give it away or toss it…

as far as what to take and what to trash… thats hard… personal decision… you will take too much - that’s just how it works LOL … you will have the opportunity to re-evaluate as you unpack every item…

last but not least… well meaning friends that own pickup trucks that will do anything for a case of beer is NOT the way to go… it will take too many trips and if they break something you really cant say too much cause ‘they are helping you" spend the money hire movers totally worth the investment…

good luck with the move

Are there are "best practices" or "standard" way that pro bartenders and high-end bars follow when organizing their liquor bottles on the bottle shelves? Figure about a 4-foot long area with 4 stepped shelves.

During parties we can attach 2 speed racks for 12 of the most used bottles and mixers, so exclude those and assume those would be filled with "extra" bottles of the most active liquors during parties. I am talking about the basic setup of what’s on the shelves BEHIND the speed racks, really what bars use to "display" what they have.

Is there any "preferred" or "pro barternder" way to organize those liquors on the shelves, or is it pretty much "whatever floats your boat"?

This is for a fairly large classy home bar with a lot of premium liquors, and honestly there are as many bottles underneath the shelves in Storage Cabinets as there are on the shelves. (Mostly the larger economy sized bottles of rum, tequila, etc., and the not-so-often used flavored liquors.)

It’s no big deal, but we just always wondered. Right now we just have the liquors on the shelves in a random order. But one day we were wondering whether professional bartenders organize their liquors in a certain "classic" manner.

Also, we usually keep our Vodka’s in the bar freezer so they stay nice and cold. Is that good practice or should we be displaying them too?

Yes, it depends on your biggest sellers. Here in Wisconsin, we ordered the bottles like this:

Brandy
Vodka
Whisky
Gin
7 Crown
Rum
Tequila
Scotch
Then, the odd liquors like Midori, Lime Vodka, Sloe Gin, etc…

Those were all "rail" brands.

For the call or top shelf brands, they were behind. So whisky, for example was Kessler’s for rail and Crown Royal for call. For Scotch, Dewar’s was the rail brand and then we had about five to seven single malts.

Also, pour with your right hand, mix with your left. Always! This makes for consistent shelving of the bottles when the bar is busy. Take a glass in your left hand, scoop it with ice and grab the mix gun while pouring the booze with your right. This is very fast and if you are consistent, it shouldn’t take you much more than about 5 to 7 seconds to make rail drink with two ingredients.
