My kids put empty milk cartons back in the refrigerator, empty ice cube trays in the freezer, empty cereal boxes, peanut butter jars, etc. back in the pantry or refrigerator. They put empty laundry detergent bottles back on the shelf…in fact, anything that was empty was put back in it’s place and not in the trash can. Who knows why.

It’s annoying, yes. Savor it. They will be grown and gone before you know it.

If I find one more sock shoved into my couch cushions …. imma scream, LOUD. I go into crazy Tazmanian devil mom when I find those.
Also, my son kicks off and leaves his (insert explaitves here)…. shoes right in the path where people walk in the house. We are forever tripping over shoes. I pick them up and throw them into his bedroom.
Lets see….. what else…. ? Hmmmm….
Oh yeah. Kids never put the shower thingee back down after showering. So when I go to turn the water on I get sprayed in the face with ice cold water. Yeah, does a real job on the ol’ make-up.
And ohhhhhhhhhhh …. NEVER DO THEY EVER TURN OFF A LIGHT IN THE HOUSE WHEN WALKING OUT OF A ROOM!
The electric company really loves me for that one. I have threatened to take the lightbulbs away from them and hide them.
The one that is really annoying to me is, that they leave garbage on the counter tops in the kitchen. I guess only I am programmed to pick up garbage and walk it to the trash can.
I could go on for a week, but I have to go clean house…. lol. NO ONE ELSE WILL DO IT. ***sighhhhh***

pretty much what everyone has said happens at my homestead. thing is, i have no kids, i don't life with my parents, just my boyfriend, he is my total opposite when it comes to taking care of things. i have taken the habbit of throwing his dirty clothes he leaves next to the hamper at him! same with the empty tp roll, empty soda bottle in fridge, so on and do on! one thing that i didn't see up there was leaving a half inch of a drink in the fridge, but he won't drink it! JUST THROW IT OUT!

YES!!! I thought my family was the only ones to do this. I find empty cereal boxes in the cabinet all the time. The thing that really bugs me though is they will put an empty ice cube tray back in the freezer, or put it in the freezer with one ice cube left in it...I hate that!!

i totally understand where you are coming from! my kids leave their dirty clothes where ever it may land and they dont want to pick it up til its time for us to have company or go somewhere. they also like to eat something and if they have just even 1 bite of it left, they will put it in the fridge. instead of taking the 1 lil bite or throwing it away. its hard always having to chase behind 4 kids alone but somehow i manage.
