Just where do I start, oh dear!!?

I am so overwhelmed right now I don’t know what to do! My house needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. I can clean it, but I don’t know where to start….Let me just say for the record, life has been very hectic for me this last month and now that everything has settled, I’ve got a huge mess awaiting me! Might I add I have 2 kids (1&3yrs) that keep me from getting alot done at once. For starters, I have a *huge* pile of papers to organize and file, a garage that needs cleaning, storage room that needs downsizing, laundry, toilets and tubs, rugs to wash, fans to dust, a 2 story home with tile floors (that need to be scrubbed) fridge needs cleaned, microwave & cabinets, you name it I got it. Help me, help me please?? Where do I start?
Everything is covered in grime, grease, dust, and every crevace in my home have huge dust bunnies jumping out at us!! Hubby is military and works long hours and I have NO HELP within miles (atleast not dependable help) I have to do this alone, all the while preoccupying 2 babies.

Okay!
Don’t despaire! begin by collecting all the dirty clothes and put them to wash ,in the mean time clean the kitchen starding from one corner to the next , empty the drawers and clean the drawers and all the utensils ,if you have a dish washer this will help a lot ,if not sit down and dry them with a tea towel , work in one room at the time and from time to time go and check on the laundry and fold each load as you go , do not pile the laundry otherwise it will get wrinkled and you will need to iron, so save yourself some work, spray all the greasy things down and soak them or wash them with hot water . As long that you do 1room or 2 a day you will catch up ,but you must keep at it ,otherwise you will be back to where you started , keeping a family and a house is a lot of work for everyone . Take time to relax and play with the kids , when they are naping , take advantage to do a bit more cleaning , when the kitchen is spotless , the beds are made , the laundry is done you will feel much better youll see! Papers can be stored in a box , and on a rainy day in the evening sit down and sort them out , shred the ones that you don’t need and file the rest . I don’t have any help either and every day I do the same thing plus a little extra, so that on the weekend I can relax . If you have a clean kitchen ,and you are home all day , after breakfast start with dinner ,get a slow cooker this will help you a lot. And you wont need to worry about stirring the pot while you are washing the walls down, remember one room at the time ,one day at the time , and women work is never done!

Sounds like you got alot on your hands.

Maybe try setting up a playdate with your 2 babies if you know anyone with the same age kids
Or, if you can afford it enroll the 3 year old in some classes like swimming, ballet or gymnastics(if its a girl) somewhere nearby your neighborhood. It will save you time.
i would suggest organizing the stack of papers organizing anf filing first. Along with doing the garage first and downsize the storage room.

Once everything is organized, then start cleaning i would start at the bottom and work uptop, while doing this keep doing laundry at the same time.
    In order…
Do kitchen, livingroom, diningroom, familyroom etc…
Then bathrooms and bedrooms vacuum last and sweep and mop last

    I suggest these cleaning supplies
    Comet
    Mr. clean magic eraser
    pine sol(mop)
    409 all purpose cleaner
    clorox disenfecting bathroom cleaner
    clorox toilet bowl cleaner
    pledge furniture cleaner
    scrubber with thick bristles

Ok I know what you are going through. We have moved in with my mother in law and live downstairs with 5 kids and the place gets so messy at times I could just scream. What I do is get all my cleaning stuff and put it in a bucket so I can go from room to room with everything I need. Then start at one end of the house and start doing what you can while entertaining the littlies. I have 1 and 3 yr olds to and sometimes as soon as I have done something they mess it up again. I also try to wait until my 1 yr old is having his nap to really get stuck into the house. I also find that spraying the shower with cleaning foam and leaving it helps so I can do the bathroom and toilet then the shower. Keep the windows open for ventilation for the kids and yourself. I also take a laundry basket with me and put things like toys and anything else that doesn’t belong in the rooms so I can put it away later. With the fridge go through it and throw out anything old. If it is really bad then take all the shelves out and clean the with warm soapy water then dry them and put it back together. Wih the rugs I would suggest laying them flat on the driveway or over a fence or the clothes line and spraying them with cleaning spray or what I did yesterday was just throw some wash up liquid on it and hosed it down. My mother in laws dog did something on it. Also just remember the mess isn’t going anywhere and do what you can when you can but going room to room will help you remember where you have been and what needs to be done next. I also had to clean my garage when we moved and just went through what I used and what was rubbish and got a handy skip in for all the crap I had. Just do bits and peices and you will be fine. Also my littlies like to get a cloth and pretend to dust with me which is really cute but also teaches them they can tidy up after themselves as , being as little as they are they can still put some toys in their room and be little helpers, plus they feel big and enjoy the praise that comes with it. :) Good luck.
