Steps to cleaning a house?

The main thing about the house is that it is very cluttered. It’s a one story house and we have carpet in everyroom but the bathrooms (two, one’s being re-done and the kitchen) All of the storage space (closets cabinets) is take up. How do you sucessfully clean a house like this, with tips.

Ex.
1. Clean all spider webs from the ceiling

Plus, we’re trying to repaint. Plus, we don’t know where to start. And hiring a cleaning crew is out of the option. And we can’t set things outside because right now there is at least 12 inches of snow. Thanks!

First you must clear out the clutter. Do this room by room.

Start in the living room.

Buy some size large trash bags and mark them, "throw out" and "keep". Then sort through the clutter and put the "throw out" bags on the curb for the garbage collector. Place the "keep" bags in the garage or in a back bedroom until you’ve finished cleaning.

Now push all the furniture to the middle of the room. Vacuum along the baseboards and carpeting. Tie a damp kitchen towel to the end of a broom and knock the spider/cobwebs down from the ceiling and upper walls. Now, push all the furniture to the edges of the room. Vacuum the carpet and vacuum the sofa, chairs, etc., dust/polish all the furniture. Wipe all light switches clean with a damp sponge. Now, rearrange the furniture the way you want it and you’re done with that room and move on to the next one.

When it comes to painting just do it one room at a time. Move everything you can out of the room and then cover anything you can’t move with plastic sheeting. Then, tape and prep your walls, place plastic sheeting on the carpet and start painting.

Throw out old stuff or Donate it

Use household brush to clear the spider web. You can put a little bit of borax acid at the same time.

If you really want to paint u must make room. Bring things u haven’t used in 6 months and bring the to salvation army. They’ll find a place for them. Now all u have to do is take 1 room at a time. Little by Little, it will get done. But don’t stop until it’s done. Lots of luck.

First I would go through your stuff, one room at a time and get rid of some of your stuff(ex, stuff you haven’t used within the last year) Once, you’ve de-cluttered, take one room at a time and clean from left to right, this way if you get distracted, set your cleaning supplies down where you’re at and when you come back to finish up, you’ll know what you’ve done and what there is still to be cleaned. I would definitely wait to paint until the weather is nicer so you can have the doors and windows open.
