Storage Cabinets

We are "remodeling" our 1/2 bath. We are going to put in new floors. We aren’t sure if we should replace or paint the existing cabinet. If we replace the cabinet, I feel we should replace the kitchen cabinets as well. If we just paint, all we’d need to do is get a new vanity top (countertop). I originally wanted a pedestal sink but after much thought, I need storage space so the pedestal sink is out. We are going to keep the current toilet. Should we get a new cabinet and not worry about the kitchen cabinets or paint the existing cabinet and update it with hardware?

I don’t understand why you feel you would have to replace your kitchen cabinets if you replace your bathroom vanity. They are two different rooms and the cabinetry should not match. I think if you look around at your local hardware stores, you will find a suitable vanity (possibly with a top) for a very inexpensive price. I found a great one for two hundred…with cabinet, top and sink. Just shop for deals and you can have your new floor and a new vanity. You can find a mirror in Walmart for next to nothing and create your own piece of artwork from pictures of family, friends or nature you have taken.
