Do you think the judge will give me PROBATION? READ?
I might be charged with felonies. I did something really bad. I’ve never been in trouble so keep in mind; this is my first offense. This kid and I went to this storage place. Broke into a trailer trashing it. Like sticking screw drivers in was, breaking microwave, and ripping out cabinets. BUT that is not the only thing I got caught for. Down the street there are these two small buildings. The same kid and I picked up rocks, and a metal pole.
We smashed all the windows. Probably 12 windows all. I entered one, but no damage inside. Altogether trailer and the building 13,000 damage. I’m going to court soon. We can’t get a lawyer so that will be a down pole. Do you think I will be on probation or Juvenile detention?
You are gonna get a little more than probation. The reason I say that is that you never admitted to being sorry for what you had done and I bet you didn’t apologize to the people you did this to and ask if you could try and make it right with them did you? What goes around comes around. Good luck to you hope you learn your lesson!
It all depends on whether the Judge believes this is your first offense, or only the first time you got caught, and whether you would do it again. $13,000 is a lot of damage, and, by what you wrote, I would tend to believe this is the first time you were caught.

Vandalism on the level you describe makes it very unlikely you will simply get probation. This being your first offense could have an effect on whether the judge gives you the maximum sentence.
Any judge who would give you probation is being very, very lenient and that kind a favorable treatment is less and less likely these days.
I have seen minors do much less than what you did on their first offense and receive detention time.
